Just in case you wondered. Ed Marlo was a real magician, so was "Dai" Vernon and Tony Andruzzi. When I did that strip I was thinking of plays on words that go into the "death"-direction. Well Dead Marlo and "Die" Vernon were the only ones I found. There is no joke in that Tony Andruzzi reference, except maybe that Tony Andruzzi did a lot of Bizarre Magic that often deals with death. So the lack of a joke is kind of pointed out by Dead Marlo in this comic.
